It's a fête a la France this week, and you can celebrate Bastille Day (July 14) right here in Palm Beach. From warm, freshly baked croissants by local Master Pastry chefs, to macaroons in almost every flavor, French gypsy bands, wine tastings and more, this holiday is not just for the French or francophiles, in Palm Beach it is for anyone looking for fabulous food and wine, and as always, a great time.

Did you know we have a Parisian Master Pastry Chef right here in Palm Beach? Patrick Lézé, famed Chocolaterie and Patisserie, spent years in Paris baking at some of the France’s most famous bakeries, most notably at Laurée on the Champs-Élysée. There is no better way to start your own local Tour du France than by popping into Patrick Lézé in Palm Beach. Located at 229 Sunrise Avenue, the quaint French pâtisserie welcomes you with the sweet smell of freshly baked French baguettes, decadent pastries and of course, French coffee. The authentic and intriguing menu items boasts everything from traditional options, like almond croissants and macaroons, to the seasonally made strawberry napoleon. Lézé himself still wakes up everyday around 3:00am to begin preparations and baking for this signature Palm Beach store, and spin off locations, Paneterie, in West Palm Beach and Delray Beach. Stop by Le Macaron to pick up a box of perfectly flaky and delicious macaroons. With more than 20 varieties, from classic versions like rose and lavender, to salted caramel, coffee and even bubble gum flavor, they are sure to have something for everyone! The shop even sells a pink and green macarons as a nod to Palm Beach and Lilly Pulitzer. As a bonus, during the summer months locals can pick up these sweet treats for just $2.50 each.
The shop is also well known around town for another famously French sweet treat; Madeleines. Baked warm in store each day, Le Macaron gives out these almond flavored, fluffy cookies free with the purchase of any coffee. PISTACHE FRENCH BISTRO
Pistache French Bistro is kicking off the festivities early, starting with National French Fry Day on July 13th. To celebrate, the gourmet French restaurant is offering its signature Frite Sheet. Stop by for a glass of rosé and perfectly cooked french fries all day long. French fries and champagne? Oui!
The Bastille Day weekend celebrations continue on July 14 and 15 with festive menus and a variety of traditional French entertainment, plus plenty of champagne cocktails on July 16th. The French-owned Parisian shop on South County Road has everything you need for a fête a la France. Pick up delicious cheeses, cornichon and pâté for the perfect French cheese board.
