We had a serious case of the end of summer blues, so we booked a spacation at the Eau Palm Beach for a hefty dose of vitamin sea and R&R.
The Eau is one of only two Forbes Five-Star resorts in Palm Beach, and eight in Florida. It is situated on seven acres of oceanfront property, surrounded by lush tropical gardens and stunning ocean views. The Eau Palm Beach is world renowned for it's 42,000 square foot, award winning, luxury spa. This acclaimed resort destination offers something for everyone and every occasion, from a romantic getaway, girls weekend, or family vacation (including your furry kids!). After a weekend of pampering, we're sharing our picture perfect Eau experience.
Immediately upon arrival, we were received by the incredibly gracious staff, who set the tone for our stay. The front desk agent was so lovely and hospitable, offering an upgraded room, complimentary champagne(!), and a personalized experience that left us feeling like royalty.
As if the welcome wasn't warm enough, waiting in our uber stylish room was a complimentary Eau beach tote and flip-flops, which came in handy during our beach and pool outings.
The decor is casual luxury with vibrant pops of color and modern pieces from designer and seasonal Palm Beacher, Jonathan Adler. Inspired by the sun and sea, the rooms and outdoor spaces merge electric blues and yellows, in a playful and relaxed elegance. The draperies resemble a classic cabana, and each balcony boasts a hanging rattan chair to enjoy the sunrise with your morning joe, or relax with an afternoon glass of champagne.
After a quick trip to the room, we headed straight to Breeze Ocean Kitchen. This oceanfront bar and terrace overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, and serves up Floridian flavors with hints of Caribbean, Latin America, and Asia throughout. Island classics like conch fritters, fish tacos, and ceviche are popular dishes at Breeze. The soothing live music, crisp ocean breeze, and refreshing beverages make this spot a popular afternoon go-to for guests and locals alike. Breeze celebrates summer with specials like "Veuve with a View", offering half-priced bottles of Veuve Clicquot Rich on Sundays from 2 to 6pm. The beach and pools were welcome escapes from the Florida summer heat. The property offers two pools and a hot tub, including an adults only tranquility pool lined with cabanas. Both offer food and beverage service, fruit infused water, and complimentary Sun Bum sunscreen. Steps from the pool is the sapphire blue water of the Atlantic. Lounge in the sand, or on the deck overlooking the beach; the view is spectacular from any seat. Grab a piña colada and set your watch for island time!
After a day of rest and relaxation, we were ready to refresh and redress for dinner. Temple Orange Restaurant is a Mediterranean inspired bistro serving up fresh foods with a view. It's light and inviting atmosphere is great for a date, and also family friendly. They currently offer a preset menu in addition to a la carte for evening dining. Breakfast, however, is their most popular meal of the day, as they put out an impressive buffet of gourmet breakfast favorites in addition to pastries, chilled soups, seafood and cured meats, fruits, and made-to-order omelets. On Sunday's Temple Orange really wows with their "Veuve Rich Brunch", featuring a Champagne garden and Bloody Mary bar! For menus and more information, visit their website.
Of course, the highlight of your spacation will be the awe-inspiring world-class Eau Spa. The spa provides a truly unique and magical experience in a wonderland of water features, private gardens and plunge pools. The 42,000 square foot wellness playground offers a "Self-Centered Garden", Wishing Well, Bath Lounge, Sauna, Steam Shower, and Relaxation Lounge, among a long list of therapeutic and beauty services.
