WILD FOR WALLSCAPES

Wallscapes are an intriguing and unique way to feature personal objects, pictures, or plant life as a piece of art. They can transform a wall from drab to fab, act as a life-size scrapbook for your space, and become an artistic masterpiece of memorabilia. Here are some exciting examples of various wallscaping and DIY how-tos by Logue Decorators.

BOHO CHIC

In this space for South Florida artist and photographer Brooke Logue, we wanted to create a decorative wall with pictures and memorabilia from a family trip to Southern California. The southwestern influence is apparent throughout the home, and creates a beautiful accent wall in the family room. The wall resembles a scrapbook of their travels, is a conversation piece for company, and a walk down memory lane for the family. Brooke wanted to incorporate plants, mirrors, and other 3-D objects from her travels to give the wall dimension and life. The staggered pictures and objects create a boho-inspired, artistic masterpiece.

Another way to bring a space to life is creating a living plantscape. Easily transform a blank wall and your favorite greenery into works of art with modern floating ceramic planters. These planters from West Elm come in black and white, and varying sizes, to create a unique garden gallery wall. Use in the kitchen to showcase a beautiful and functional herb garden. Also a great solution for curved walls.

Hamptons meets Palm Beach in this coastal real estate office that resembles a home rather that a business. Picturescapes from iconic Palm Beach and Jupiter landmarks decorate the walls of The Palm Group, while another Palm Beach staple, renowned Carelton Varney "Brazilliance" print, is a popular theme throughout the space. We wanted to incorporate local concepts and brands in the decor, and create a familiar and elegant ambience for their clientele. We're absolutely bananas for this leafy luxe design concept at The Palm Group!

Banana Leaf Pillow Fabric and Wallpaper: Dorothy Draper/Carleton Varney "Brazilliance". Couch, Rug (on sale!), and B&W Pillows: Wayfair. Mirror and Coffee Table: West Elm. Coffee Table Books, Garden Stool, Picture Frames, Candle and Dish Soap Dispenser: Homegoods. Sink Faucet: Kohler.

Rustic elegance is a trend that is making waves in the design industry. Mixing metals, woods, distressed finishes, and refined pieces create a warm and inviting space. We used weathered wood and modern frames, in addition to silver and mirrored accents to create this unique wallscape of personal travel photos. We love combining distressed pieces with glamorous ones, like this stunning Restoration Hardware crystal orb light fixture. There are no rules when it comes this dynamic decor trend.
