Hurricane Irma devastated much of Florida, but the Florida Keys sustained the brunt of the damage. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has reported that 25% of all homes in the Florida Keys were destroyed and a startling 65% sustained major damage.
In the wake of devastation, three local chefs are teaming up to host a special dinner to raise funds for the Florida Disaster Fund, the charity committed to serving the unique needs of residents of The Keys. The dinner, which will be hosted by Executive Chef/Owner Julien Gremaud, Chef Clay Carnes of Cholo Soy Cocina and Chef Clay Conley of Buccan, will take place on Tuesday, September 26 at Avocado Grill.
Tickets for the one-night-only “Chefs’ Dinner for the Keys” will be $95 each, $30 of which will be donated to the Florida Disaster Fund. Guests will be treated to cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres followed by a five-course dinner complete with cocktail pairings featuring local libations from the Florida Keys. Cuisine is Key West inspired and has limited seating. For more information or tickets to the dinner, contact Jennifer Martinez at 561.301.4998.
